My social political project was completed in a short time, since I had a late start due to concentrating on 36 Days of Type for my art show. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with this. The letters on the ground turned out well (the viewer can tell which words I'm trying to portray) and enhances the piece in my opinion. The message I'd like my viewers to comprehend is how physical and ethnic differences dissipate in the grand scheme when you get to know the person's true self / personality (symbolized by the heart). The person on the left realizes, "You're...just like me" even though the other person has brown skin. One part of my project I question is my use of rough people figures. It works with the minimalist style I established. Perhaps colouring their clothes would add more colour to the piece, but I think the simple lines and circles fit my concept. The red heart was drawn a bit messily and might benefit from more refined curves. Overall, this project turned out great and I believe I got my message across.
